Top 5 games worth your money this fall (part 4)

Marcus and Dom are back and this time around they're taking the fight to the Locust. The second game in the series will be available on November 7th, 2008 and if you thought the original was action packed, the sequel looks like it will put its predecessor to shame. Sporting new weapons like the Boomshield, Ink Grenade, and the Mulcher, you've got many more ways to essentially tear your enemies apart piece by piece in this game. One of the many things that sets Gears of War apart from other shooter games is that Gears is just downright raw and gritty action, how many other games can you use the chainsaw attached to your lancer machine gun to saw an enemy into nothing but bloody chunks...and the best part is that it just never ever gets old! Gears of War 2 also sports chainsaw duels where two people meet with the chainsaw revved they will lock saws and whomever can press the B button the quickest watches his enemy suffer an amazing gory fate. Another feature of the second game is the ability to use your downed enemies as shields to protect you from fire which means even in death the Locust will serve you a purpose.

The story in the second Gears revolves around the Locust finding ways to make giant emergence holes that can destroy entire cities. The COGs in last resort are taking the fight to the Locust, by using large machines that can drill holes deep into the underground tunnels of the Locust network of caves. You can expect more depth about the characters backgrounds in this game. So this November, if you're looking for some fast paced downright brutal gaming, look to Gear of War 2...a title that is sure to deliver for all us action junkies. Get a better insight into the characters, story and background of Gears 2 in a nice video here.

Rumor Time! Halo 4 for next Xbox? And not developed by Bungie?

Is the chief making a 4th appearance in the Halo Universe?

Halo 4...and developed by a company other than Bungie, is it possible? Back in February Gearbox's Randy Pitchford commented that the companies next game project was "Bigger than big"...well the people at OXM sent a couple of people into Gearbox to gather some info on the subject. They came back and with a huge rumor too, Gearbox is possibly making the next Halo project. Gearbox is a very seasoned and experienced creator of FPS games so it would be fitting. Bungie has no interest in making more Halo games and although it seemed that most story elements were all tied together and concluded nicely in the Xbox 360 game Halo 3, it still is a possibility.
