Rumor Time! Halo 4 for next Xbox? And not developed by Bungie?

Is the chief making a 4th appearance in the Halo Universe?


Halo 4...and developed by a company other than Bungie, is it possible? Back in February Gearbox's Randy Pitchford commented that the companies next game project was "Bigger than big"...well the people at OXM sent a couple of people into Gearbox to gather some info on the subject. They came back and with a huge rumor too, Gearbox is possibly making the next Halo project. Gearbox is a very seasoned and experienced creator of FPS games so it would be fitting. Bungie has no interest in making more Halo games and although it seemed that most story elements were all tied together and concluded nicely in the Xbox 360 game Halo 3, it still is a possibility.
