We now come to the number four game on the top 5 games to play this fall, Rock Band 2. This game is truly a social gaming dynamo, with the ability to play over 80 songs right off the bat initially and a vast library of downloadable tracks, Rock Band 2 can provide months of fun for a group of friends or even a solo player. One huge gaming innovation in the sequel is the ability to take all the songs from your original Rock Band game and import them to Rock Band 2, that's truly a brilliant idea by EA Games. And for all those players who just want to play along with some friends without the threat of being booed offstage, a new no-fail mode is available to keep the nonstop rock coming for hours. Check out a sweet trailer of Rock Band 2 here. Rock Band 2 also comes with some nice new instruments that address some of the issues of the originals, such as quieter drums with a stronger foot pedal and a better strum bar on the guitar.
You can check out a pic of the new instruments above. But in all honesty, if you own the original instruments from the first game and can deal with them its worth saving your money and just springing for the game. With a long list of tracks from many genres including....AC/DC “Let There Be Rock”, Billy Idol “White Wedding Pt. I”, Disturbed “Down with the Sickness”, and Foo Fighters “Everlong”, just to name a few. For a complete track list click here. Gamers also have the ability to go into freestyle drum mode and drum along with any music downloaded to their 360 hard drive. All in all, Rock Band 2 looks visually a lot like its predecessor but small changes to menus and other features have streamlined this into another amazing party game. And the best part is that Rock Band 2 is available NOW! So you can get to jamming with your friends right away, pick up your guitar, mic or drum sticks and let there be rock!
And if you feel like taking some time between sets on Rock Band 2, check out this hilarious video!
